Trainee Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist

Poppy  is currently in the final year of her Master’s training in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Essex, completing in Autumn 2025. As a psychodynamic trainee, Poppy offers a calm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their inner world, reflect on past experiences, and gain deeper insight into present emotional difficulties.

Her approach is rooted in the belief that understanding the unconscious patterns shaped by early relationships can bring clarity, healing, and personal growth. Poppy works collaboratively with clients to help uncover the root causes of distress, enabling meaningful and lasting change.

She has experience supporting individuals with a range of challenges, including:

  • Depression and low mood

  • Anxiety and generalised worry

  • Relationship and attachment issues

  • Loss, grief, and bereavement

Poppy is committed to ethical and reflective practice and is a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
